Hidden fees embedded in the contract.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Experience. Watch out for the "bait and switch". This company provided a quote and missed the estimated weight by more than 40%. Once they picked up the goods, they then informed that there would be an excess charge for the overage at a higher per unit rate.. When I disputed the amount and pulled up the contract, my furniture was "hi-jacked" until i paid the difference which was more than 80% more than the quote. At delivery, the drivers measured and indicated the cubic ft was overstated at point of pick up. I disputed the charge with my credit card provider and this company falsified documents in their rebuttal. Jessica R was terrible. The delivery was delayed. Customer service horrible. When you call no one identifies themselves. Even in email correspondence, they do not use last names. I have moved around the country a dozen times over the years and this company is by far the worst. Beware of Allstar Moving Services!
Believe the reviews, why do think google and yelp review only give them 1 star and if it was up to me it would be 0. I just use them on 03/15/17. Read the contract because you'll end up paying double, also they charge if the drop off is more then 10 feet and only take cash on that charge, I think they use that for their tip. Also my expensive furniture are damaged. If you use all star you'll be regretting afterwards. Don't trust Monica! She sound pleasant during booking but if you have issues she's nasty as hell.
The worst decision we could have made during our move. It wasn't until after the contract was signed did they try to change our delivery date and add on extra fees (both times we referred to the contract THEY wrote and they quickly changed their tune) I half expected the bait-and-switch, but what I didn't expect was the careless damage they cause by taping blankets to my (Ashley furniture) wood bedroom set. They took a nice size chunk out of the corner of our head board and actually peeled the finish of the wood footboard and side rails in spots (totally noticeable)
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Lesson learned. Trust all the reviews. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
The quote is low. The contract has hidden fees. It felt like robbery.
I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Horrendous scam artists. Believe every single review on here; I had exactly the same experience. Hidden fees everywhere. Rude movers who lied multiple times. The people you talk to on the phone are also scam artists and will lie to you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Also, movers spoke Spanish behind our back saying terrible things and didn't realize I understood every word of what they were saying when they moved my stuff in. Terrible human beings, terrible moving company.
Being part of the "small businesses community" in the Philadelphia area myself, I understand the need for online reviews and recommendations. I HIGHLY recommend finding another moving company. Your belongings will thank you.
